Snowboard Ability Levels

Snowboarding Ability Level 1

LEVEL 1

FIRST TIME SNOWBOARDER
Never snowboarded before and you're stoked to learn.
Snowboarding Ability Level 2

LEVEL 2

NOVICE
You're able to stop safely and move downhill on toe-side and heel side edges (pendulum / falling leaf skills). You're starting to make heel and toe side turns.
Snowboarding Ability Level 3

LEVEL 3

COMFORTABLE NOVICE
You can complete heel side and toe side turns on gentle green terrain. You can link basic turns.
Snowboarding Ability Level 4

LEVEL 4

INTERMEDIATE
You can comfortably link turns and control speed on all green runs and easier blue runs. You can use all chairlifts. Learning to jump.
Snowboarding Ability Level 5

LEVEL 5

HIGH INTERMEDIATE
You can comfortably ride blue and black runs. You can ride off-piste terrain and powder. Can do basic freestyle inside and outside of terrain parks.
Snowboarding Ability Level 6

LEVEL 6

ADVANCED
You can confidently ride black runs and some double blacks. You enjoy riding steeps, trees, drops, off-piste, powder and all-mountain freestyle. You're comfortable riding in the terrain parks.
